WHO DAT, Black And Gold Saints Nation, WHO DAT!!! The rematch of identical 13-3 regular season teams and NFC Division champions battle this afternoon, as our #1 NFC Playoff Seed, 2019 NFC South Division Champions, and New Orleans Saints, are one game closer to appearing in Super Bowl LIII, as they again host the #2 NFC Playoff Seed, and NFC West Champions Los Angeles Rams this 2018-19 NFL calendar season at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Saints are 3 point favorites to win the NFCCG according to oddsmakers.

Saints seek to win their second NFC Conference Championship in franchise history since defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the 2009 NFC Championship Game 31-28 in overtime. at the Louisiana Superdome back on January 24, 2010. Garrett Hartley kicked his game-winning 40-yard field goal, with 10:15 remaining in overtime, to defeat Minnesota 31-28. New Orleans eventually defeated the Indianapolis Colts by the score of 31-14 in Super Bowl XLIV two weeks later at Sun Life Stadium in Miami on February 3, 2010.

Both New Orleans and L.A. Rams are together playing at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in 9 weeks. New Orleans defeated the L.A. Rams 45-35 in the earlier meeting played during the regular season back on November 4, 2018. The game was tied at 35-35, after L.A. Rams QB Jared Goff threw his 41-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp, followed by the two-point conversion play from goff to Gerald Everett with 9:38 remaining in the fourth quarter. Saints scored the remaining 10 points of the game, with Will Lutz kicking his 54-yard FG, followed by Drew Brees 72-yard bomb to Michael Thomas with 4:52 remaining for 45-35 final.

L.A. Rams won't have Cooper Kupp available in this game, where he suffered a non-contact season ending ACL injury in team practice prior to Week 10. However, DB Aqib Talib is back in game action after his leg injury, and the L.A. Rams also signed RB C.J. Anderson, who previously played for Denver and Carolina.

Talib may match up in defense over the Saints WR Michael Thomas, especially if Thomas is set up in the slot in the Saints offensive formation.

An interesting matchup throughout the course of this afternoon game is each team running back who will test the rushing defense to their opponent. L.A. Rams have All-Pro Todd Gurley II and C.J. Anderson, while the Saints counter with Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram II.

In NFL team statistics, L.A. Rams and New Orleans are #2 and #3 behind #1 KansasCity in points scored per game during the 2018 regular season. Saints and the L.A Rams were also each # 8 and #2 in the NFL in Total Offense, and #14 and #19 in Total Defense during 2018.

Brees also leads over Goff 2-1 in head-to-head games since 2016, all three wins won by the home team.

Los Angeles Rams also leads the all-time series over the New Orleans Saints at 41-34, including one postseason game, won by the Saints 31-28, in the 2000 NFC Wild Card Game.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are announcing the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporters and interviewers Erin Andrews and Chris Myers, for The NFL On FOX, seen and simulcast throughout the USA and internationally, and locally on WVUE Fox Channel 8, live on HD.

NFL On FOX's live network coverage of the Saints vs, L.A. Rams game can also be seen and simulcast on personal devices as in your computer and Apple Mac, and iPad through your local cable provider, and free live game coverage from your cell phone from the NFL mobile app,

WWL Radio will also simulcast the Saints vs. L.A Rams game not only on 870 AM and 105.3 FM and the Saints Radio Network throughout the Gulf Coast, but also online both on their website and WWL mobile app

Head Linesman Bill Vinovich, leads his NFL officiating crew to supervise the field action this afternoon in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in this afternoon's critical 2018 NFC Championship Game. Vinovich is in his 12th season as an NFL referee, officiating his fourth NFL Conference Championship, and was the referee in Super Bowl XLIX.

Great day for NFL playoff football outside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, and the Downtown New Orleans area, as mostly sunny skies at 48 degrees, feels like 44 degrees in the local game forecast, for the 2:05 PM Central Standard Time kickoff.

Saints will wear the gold helmets. Nike black jerseys and pants with gold trim, while the visiting L.A. Rams are wearing their matching helmets, and Nike jerseys and pants, with white and blue trim.

Our New Orleans Saints continue their quest this afternoon to march into Super Bowl LIII, and also for future NFL Hall Of Fame inductee Drew Brees, deserving and earning another Super Bowl trophy and ring before ending his active career as a Saints player, and for both Mrs. Gayle Benson, and her late husband Mr. Tom Benson, who passed away from influenza on March 15, 2018.

NO injuries, defeat the L.A. Rams in this afternoon's 2018 NFC Championship Game so you can both earn the George S. Halas NFCCG Trophy and advance to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta on February 3, and, LET'S GEAUX SAINTS!!!!! WHO DAT!!!!

It's finally here! I'm still a wreck. And I still want it more than ever!

Let's do this! :9:

Who Dat to one, Who Dat to all!
We haven't returned a kick for a TD all season. We're overdue. Just sayin'.

Well here we go.

This game will be won in the trenches. Our offensive line has to protect Drew and create running lanes for our running backs. Aaron Donald is a beast and he will make his plays but we can’t let him beat us. On defense if we can hold the rams to FG attempts then that will be a great sign for us. Goff is a good QB but we need to try to make him uncomfortable.

If we can avoid a slow start then I like our chances.

Let's do this! I can't wait to see my zodiac sign conquered by the Saints today!
