WHO DAT, Black And Gold Saints Nation! WHO DAT!!!! Our 2018 NFC South Division Champions New Orleans Saints begin both their 2019 NFL Regular Season, and celebration of the NFL's 100th Anniversary, as they host the Houston Texans in the first game of ESPN's Monday Night Football's traditional Week One doubleheader. Texans are the first of four AFC South interdivisional opponents the Saints will play during the course of their 2019 schedule.

New Orleans begins their 53rd regular season in the NFL, 44th to host games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Sean Payton begins his 13th season as the Saints Head Coach, and the Saints as a team will attempt to reach the Super Bowl again since they won Super Bowl XLIV 10 years ago.

Saints will try one again in 2019 to win another Super Bowl for both Mrs. Gayle Benson, and Drew Brees to win another championship ring before he retires. Another personal and team milestone for Brees to achieve also is he needs one more rushing touchdown to set a team record for Saints QBs.

Saints are in their 40th appearance tonight on MNF, their recent one was the 12-9 road win at the Carolina Panthers back on December 17, 2018. Texans are also appearing in their 10th game on MNF, their last game was a home win over the Tennessee Titans in Houston back on November 26, 2018.

New Orleans seeks to win their first regular season home opener inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the first time in six years. Saints defeated the Atlanta Falcons by the score of 23-17 at the MBS in the Saints last home opener back on September 8, 2013. Drew Brees threw his 7-yard touchdown pass play to TE Jimmy Graham for the game-clincher late in the fourth quarter. The win was the first of the Saints five-game winning streak at the time, and New Orleans finished with their 11-5 record.

New Orleans and Houston are also playing their fifth all-time meeting tonight with the series tied at 2-2. Saints and Texans have won the previous four games at each team's home stadium. Texans played their first game with Saints in 2003, after Houston returned to the NFL in 2002.

Texans defeated the Saints in both teams last regular season meeting by the score of 24-6, and played at NRG Stadium in Houston back on November 29, 2015.

However, New Orleans defeated Houston in the Texans last regular season visit eight years ago at MBS back on September 25, 2011. Mark Ingram ran his 13-yard touchdown score, followed by the game winning two-point conversion from Drew Brees to Lance Moore to win 40-33.

Zach Strief and Deuce McAllister are also announcing the live radio game play-by-play and analysis, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Steve Geller, simulcast on flagship stations WWL 870 AM and 105.3 FM, throughout the Gulf Coast on the Saints Radio Network, in the Saints app in your smartphone and personal devices, and the link below on https://www.radio.com/. Pregame radio coverage begins t 1:00 PM Central Time.

Head Linesman John Hussey leads his NFL officiating crew to supervise the live game action on the playing field between the Saints and Texans.

Partly cloudy skies at 89 degrees, feels like 100 degrees, is the local gamecast outside the stadium area, for the 6:10 PM Central Standard Time kickoff, along with south/southwest winds at 9 miles per hour.

NO injuries to all the Saints and Texans players, as they start their journey through the 2019 NFL regular season. GEAUX SAINTS! WHO DAT!!!!!

Must! Start! With! A! Win! Tonight!!!

We can do this! Let's roll!!! :winkthumb:

I live in Houston, so it's been a fun weekend already, watching the UT fans cry. I was at the medical center today with my mil for her oncologist appointment, and of course I'm wearing Saints colors and getting comments from the Texans fans. Most don't think the Texans have a shot at beating the Saints, haha.

Who Dat hasn't played a game yet and already leads the division?

Anybody know any streaming websites to go to that broadcast pro sports games.

We need to exercise the demons of seasons past with an opening season onslaught.
Who Dat!

Last time we won our season opener was in 2013, 6 years ago. Tonight we right this wrong. Here! Here!
It is long overdue and with all other NFC South teams losing, it is a great opportunity to get ahead of those teams. Geaux Saints!!!

Finally! Who Dat!!!

I'll just be happy to get past first game so they stop showing that no PI call every five seconds.

They really need to crank the AC up in here in the Done.
