Hahahaha... they get no Judas tonight. We would have rioted in New Orleans.
I’m sure he doesn’t. Bear in mind though that this is a company that lost a sponsorship because Nick Gage used a pizza cutter during a picture-in-picture advertisement for Dominoes. And it’s a company that’s status with the new ownership of WarnerMedia is a little less assured than it once was.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Punk, I share his values, I respect him for taking that stance. I’m just looking at it from a strictly commercial perspective. And, to a degree, having regard to his personal welfare given the class of person likely to be offended by that shirt is not usually the class to respond to a grievance in a thoughtful, articulate or reasonable way.
To be fair, did he say these would be “huge debuts”? He might have and I just missed it, but I don’t remember these being hyped new additions on tv.What a waste, TK needs to pump the breaks on theses “huge debuts”, since Bryan Danielson they have all been weak. I don’t get why they didn’t bring in Athena (she’s from Houston)
Everything just seemed off tonight outside the BCC/JAS promo. And I now find myself using a term I didn't think I would use so soon for AEW... They're becoming predictable. Makes me think the reports coming from backstage might be more true than not.Even the Swerve Strickland signing (which I think was awesome) wasn’t a hyped signing or billed as a huge debut.
And unless I missed it, have Johnny or Itoh even received the “… is All Elite” graphic yet? Don’t they usually do that pretty immediately if it is a signed talent?
