"The Saints O-Line is extremely underrated when it comes to rushing.

The Saints had no problems rushing the ball in 2006, or at least no one was complaining when Deuce was the main back and Reggie was used "properly". 2007 came and Deuce went down and all of a sudden, we can't run the ball. In 2008, Deuce was still hurt and our running game was still non-existent, UNTIL P. Thomas came into the picture.

Then all of a sudden, the Saints have a running game again.

IMO, the Saint's O-Line can do both just as well; pass block and run block. And this year, not only will they get the recognition they deserve, but people will be raving about them.

A team might have the best QB in the world, but if he has no one to catch the ball, how would you know? Same with a reciever; the guy might have the best hands in the world, but if he never gets thrown to or the QB is horrible, how would you know?

Same idea here. The Saints have a great offensive line that is just as good in run blocking as it is in pass protection. However, we haven't had the running back in the back field to show case their talent. UNTIL NOW. RUN PT, RUN!!!!!!

That's my opinion and I am sticking with it.

GO SAINTS!!!!"

This post I made back on Aug 14 had mixed reactions but after today's game, it just re-enforces what I said then. Reggie is a great player when used properly, but PT and Bell can run the ball much better. Our O-line looked average at best in the first half with Bush as our primary running back. 2nd half-PT checks into the game and runs for 120+; same offensive line. This is not a Bush hate post, but a O-line love post.

Go Saints!!!

I never did believe that our OLine could not run block. So good to see them create holes for the running game to make this offense so much more dynamic. The ability to impose your will on another team via the run is the difference between being a legitimate contender and a middle of the road team. If we can continue to run the ball with success as we have all year, I don't see how we don't make a serious run at this thing.

The run blocking has been better than it's been in years, even better than 2006. We're mauling people inside.
