Ironically, parlorcitysaint lives considerably south of me (actually southwest) and got much more snow. We avoid some of the worst storms because of being so far from the ocean. Where these coastal storms get going during the winter, watch out! We got 6.5", which is nothing, and thank goodness on a Friday night. So I just spent Saturday morning shoveling out leisurely, although it was annoying when the snowblower wouldn't start. As voodoo blues said, the problem comes when you have to get to work.
BTW, Northerners, Motor Trend makes a windshield cover you can attach to your outside mirrors that keeps the stuff off your windshield. It works quite well and saves a lot of time--plus you can use it if you have to park outside at your job. Supposedly, it prevents the windshield from icing up as well. Now that am hearing tomorrow's forecast, I might find out tomorrow. Don't know if it's wide enough to work on a big truck.
