After watching their game last week, outside of their running game this team doesn’t scare me much. They had some fortunate plays, like Carolina fumbling in red zone that positioned them to win.

My two takes from that game: Panthers looked bad and the Rams didn’t do anything to wow me either.

If we can stop their run and have Goff beat us, I’m not sure that he can.

But any other takes on this Rams team? What to be worried about or keep eyes on?

On STs, it’ll be interesting to see how Harris bounces back this week. He didn’t fumble but had a couple of fielding miscues. But he’s a rookie, so lessons learned, n hope he bounces back against the Rams! :9:

Meanwhile, the Rams punter had one kick nearly blocked in the 1st half, and the Panthers blocked one in 2nd half. Will the Saints go after him too?

Something to keep an eye on!

And BTW, IMO, Morestead n Lutz are the best P/K duo in the league!!!

Didn’t see the Ram’s first game, but I think it’ll be a close game. We’ve seemed to match up with them pretty evenly lately. So long as the refs behave, I think we can win with minimal errors.

Hopefully this trend holds up (Saints at top - Rams at bottom):

That's 1 big "so long"
After what happened to us with the refs last year, coming into this game you’d THINK they’d b on their Ps n Qs n get things right. But they STILL screwed up big time on the clock time at the end of the 1st half! Fortunately, it didn’t end up costing us the game, but it could have!!!

Goff most likely has a better game this week vs last week against the Panthers. All of his numbers when playing at home (completion percentage, Td/Interceptions, yards per pass/game, etc) are better. In our previous three matchups I’ve also noticed how Sean McVay’s play calling includes very quick release pass plays to avoid our pass rush which has been very successful for them. They definitely have a good game plan against us so I think it comes down to our defense needing to have an all around stand up game. Who wins the time of possession and turnover battle walks away still undefeated.

It looks like they made a lot of short passes against the Panthers too this past week:

If our run D doesn't tighten up, it will be a long game. Getting Onyemata back definitely will help, but the whole D has to play better. Demario Davis needs to start tackling like an NFL LB. We are going to need a sharper defensive performance than we had against Houston to beat them in their house, and the offense has to get off to a fast start. Brees needs to be sharp from the opening drive. We can beat them, and I expect us to, but it's going to be a tough game. Geaux Saints! Who dat!!!
