OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!......... Who would have thought that our D would be this good???? Take away the "lucky" long ball to Stalldrive and 1 or 2 other "big" plays and we played LIGHTS OUT yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to go out on a limb and say that our Defense is equally as good as our offense!!!!

and we all know that minus the 2000 rams........... DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!!!!!

They played well yes but the Eagles did expose our D's weakness to big plays. We gave up at least five plays of over 20 yards yesterday. That said though they stepped up when needed and still did us proud.

You can't really take away the big plays, because we've been vulnverable to them all year. Chicago will try to exploit Fred in the secondary like Philly did (and like they did a few times to Seattle today). However, what gives me confidence is that Grossman is much more vulnerable to pressure than Garcia. If we get the kind of rush against Grossman that we got against Garcia, I don't think they can score more than 20 on us. They do have a solid running game, but our run game is better, and I think we can outclass them. Geaux Saints!

Giving up big plays is part of the game, which can spell bad for the Saints. Saints give up the big play too often if you ask me and it looks like, with time, Grossman likes the big play. We will definately have to get into his face often and quickly.

But on the flip side, I think if we can shut down their run game, we'll be okay. The Bears play ole school football. Control the clock, throw the deep ball when it is there and play sound defense.

The 2000 Rams had I think the #6 defense.

Extreme and extended euphoria has been known to cause delirium.

the onlything im worried about is grossman loves to throw the deep ball more then any QB i have seen.

and fred does scare me

i saw alot of wide open recivers yesterday, we have to get that fixed by next weekend. the bears love the long ball and they will try to exploit that. pressure on rex will be crucial and stops on third down, especially third and long have to be stopped. i don;t think i can take another close game. i hope we win by at least ten.

i think our timing was alittle off in the passing game yeaterday. it didn't help that we played against the heavy blitzing scheme of the eagles though. I think now that our young recievers have a playoff game under their belt and felt the intensity and speed, they should be back on track next week.

the recievers have to step up becuse i think the bears will focus on the run, leaving Bress with some oppurtunities in the passing game early on.

the line has to step up big. the bears had some good pressure when they blitzed hasselbeck so if our line can give Brees some time he should find the open reciever.

our line has to put pressure on rex early and often. shake his confidence and force him to make bad decisons.

our db's will have to play thier arses off and stick to recievers like glue. they will try go deep alot, they have to be on thier toes.

special teams will have to bring thier a game. hester scares me the most. seattle did a pretty good job on him today, but with that one run you can see how dangerous he is. the good thing is he is prone to losing the football in the punting game, hopefully we can fall on one.

Play smart disciplined football, focus and leave it all out on the field and we could be playing in miami in febuary.

Our defense just has to remember one thing:

Rex Grossman cannot throw deep when he's on his back! :ezbill:

I think the bears are gonna run first before putting the ball in Rex's hands and I think we stop the run and blitz rex like crazy

How many dropped ints did we have in the first qtr alone? I counted like three of them on two different drives. We need make the most of those type of opportunities, especially on the road!
