LOL. it's funny cause it's true.

the other thing people don't remember about 2011 is they were only 5-3 at the halfway point, and didn't look too pretty doing it. Last 8 games of that season put an entirely different spin on things.

Moral of the story, it's a long season, gotta be patient because you never know when a team is going to get on a roll.

That team's previous two seasons were a Super Bowl and a playoff appearance.

This team's previous two seasons were disappointing back-to-back 7-9 records.

This isn't the 2011 team.

That Green Bay team was expected to be one of the best in the league, and they were. That game was also on the road in prime time.

This game was at home against a team expected to be good, but not great.

And the two previous seasons before '09 were a 7-9 and 8-8 record. You never know.

Just some facts...

- Our two previous seasons were a Super Bowl victory and playoff appearance.

- We lost by a yard to the defending Super Bowl Champions

- They went onto a 15-1 Season

- Oakland are not a 15-1 team, not even close

- We were on the road, not at home like today

- We had Graham and Sprole

- Greg Williams was actually decent in my opinion

- Dennis Allen is a failure everywhere he's been

Only difference is that in 2011 we had a half way respectable defense. This 2016 unit looks like they picked up where they left off from 2015. Might even be worse than 2015. When 34 points isn't enough to beat the ******* Raiders you are in for a long season.

since 2006 if the saints go 2-2 or worse in the first 4 games they don't make the playoffs

we'll see what the first 4 games have in store

We gave up 42 points on opening day.

Here's a fact for y'all: After the Giants game next week we will be 1-1, 0-2, or 0-1-1. At best we are tied for the division lead if Bucs lose and at worst we are two or one and a half games back from the division lead. Still lots of football left to be played!

There is no path to playoffs with this defense. We simply don't have the talent to pressure the QB, get takeaways, stop the run, stop the pass.

I mean you name it and we don't do it. Its just too much to stop.

At some point you have to make a total overhaul. All the defensive coaches. And the talent evaluators need to be replaced.

we are great on offense.....we are not great enough on offense to support this defense. I think the D is improved but to improve over the last 2 seasons isn't saying much. They still have a ways to go to be even good.

It's going to be a long season folks....quit comparing it to past seasons. We're not that team right now nor will be be that team later in the season. We will need a lot of balls to bounce our way this year.

I thought we were 4-2 and lost a game to go 4-3 and then never looked back? Am I wrong?
