Over the last few years it appears that our offense has gotten simpler and has lost that magic touch that it once has.

I noticed against the Texans that most of our routes were run 5 yards and turn around. I'm not surprised Wade Philips shut it down, but going forward, who else are we going to fool? In addition to that, we've also neglected the WR group.

I mean we had Zach frickin Line running routes out there. Who else is going to roll over for us?

Dude with TB in there the Saints didn’t even know what to expect. We were far from predictable we were just awful.

What are you talking about? You know this was the second ranked offense in the league after week one, and they have literally never finished a season not ranked in the top five in the entire Payton era?
I mean of all the things to complain about you pick the one thing that no sensible person on earth would even consider mentioning? Wow dude.

The offense was extremely handicapped with Drew out. So yes we were out coached because 75 % of our playbook was useless without our HOF QB..

Offense is...well was fine.

Just need to get rid of those dumb arse screen passes completely

Not sure who will be starting going forward if brees is out but If it is TB I hope that they coach him up so it will not be predictable.

Teddy Bridgewater isn't Drew Brees obviously. I don't think people expect him to be. Let's see what happens when he gets a week to prepare as the starter with a gameplan tailored for him before we write him off.

Maybe because everyone isn't blind wearing homer glasses like you. This was and is a legitimate concern moving forward. Even if Brees would have stayed in, I don't think it would have been enough to win.

Yes, this is a my point. We appeared to have taken a step back. I mean who in their right mind would run Kamara up the middle on 4 & 1? I mean seriously?

I don't think you're going to see much different. We've seen enough in preseason, end of last year and today. Teddy is a slight above average back-up QB.
If you want more action, you have to play Taysom. Plain and simple.

It's just not a concern. This offense has performed week in and week out for over a decade. Sure some games aren't great, but it's literally the last thing any Saints fan should be worried about going into a respective game/season.

Losing Brees makes it a concern of note going forward, but to try and declare it a systemic problem is just a complete fallacy of a poor imagination.

And the odd attempt to dismiss that fact by labeling me a blind homer is really kinda sad. If this were a valid post with a reasonable opinion made by a more reputable poster than I would say that you're better than this.

I wish I could say the same for you, but I can't.

Can’t lose Drew. He was awesome the first 2 drives butc ooksucked it with a dropped ball for an int. We just need drew back

Lol can you knuckleheads give it a fricking rest.

We may have just lost one of the best QBs of all time for his career.

Sorry if we were too flat to win this game in Week 2 of a season that most likely means nothing anymore
