we have fish frys up here well during lent on fridays for catholics..and most kids dont enjoy a fish for some reason..potato pancakes sell well. vote me in for one that can screw up alot in the kitchen..i often substitue without looking..but usually i will still eat what ever has been cooked.

potato pancakes rock the house..like elvis did

The Germans put applesauce on their potato pancakes as well. Grew up eating them that way, my mom's potato pancakes are the best! :worthy:

Guess what I am having for breakfast. Thanks for the recipes.

And I guess it was best that I did not have any Hungry Jack mix as I also did not have any Steen's. And if there is one thing Steen's is good on, that would be pancakes.

Well, it is also good for popcorn balls. Oh and on peanut butter sammiches. And lets not forget candied yams.

It is good straight out of the can as well. :hihi:

what is the oil for? don't need it.

For anyone wanting a healthy alternative, my friend taught me this.

Small thing of egg whites
Grind up your favorite bag of nuts/trail mix
A cup of fruit such as strawberries, bananas, or blueberries

Put all in the blender and make it creamy. Pour into hot pan or skillet like you would a pancake. Eat it with fatfree cool-whip and fruit over it. Or I eat them plain. Very tasty.
