Injuries, ages, salaries work against ex-Pro Bowl linebacker, guard

The Carolina Panthers' offseason of change began Monday with the release of two former Pro Bowlers, linebacker Dan Morgan and offensive guard Mike Wahle.

The moves came on the day the NFL's waiver system reopened.

"These were tough decisions because Dan and Mike have been valuable members of our team and have done everything we have asked of them over the years," coach John Fox said.
