CHARLOTTE (AP) — Hold off on those retirement gifts for Mike Rucker. The Carolina Panthers defensive end plans to play in 2008.

After spending more than a month contemplating his future, Rucker has decided he's got another year in him.

"I'm just going off the way my body feels and the way my heart feels," Rucker said Monday. "At the end of the day, I still have that drive and I still have something to offer."

Rucker said he was pleasantly surprised how his body recovered in the past month after the end of the Panthers' season, and he has already resumed rigorous workouts. Full Story – USA Today
