Well with the recent news of all the FA's getting tagged that I originally hoped would be available I will tweak my mock from the original a bit.

There still are plenty of players available to trade for and Vilma is still in the mix and recent rumors are that GB is looking to trade recently tagged C. Williams.

So here is what I would do if I was in charge....let me know what you guys think.

Rd\Pick Player piece of work\School\Height\Weight\40 time
1\10 Hell we start off with a trade. We trade down to GB for C. Williams and their 3rd round pick. We get pick 30 and 92 and a starting DT.
1\30 Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB\Tenn ST\6'2"\170\4.45
2\41 Curtis Lofton MLB\OK\6'0"\246\4.7
3\79 DaJuan Morgan S\NCSt.|6'0"\200\4.5
3\92 Trade to NYJ for J. Vilma. (From previous trade with GB)
4\110 A. Arrington WR\Michigan\6'2.5"\195\4.52
5\141 B. Cottom TE\Tenn\6'8"\275\4.68
6\172 K. Barton OT\Ohio St\6'4.5"\311\??
7\203 Xavier Carter WR\LSU\6'3"\198\4.3

This draft would address many of our needs and I believe that all of these players could be their at the positions I have them picked.

We would get a young playmaker at CB and MLB through the draft and 2 starters at DT and WLB through the two trades. We would also add depth and speed at the WR position (which we need) and possibly Bullocks replacement at S with a huge red zone target at TE and depth\insurance at tackle.

This is the "ideal", realistic, draft that I would love to see. I know some of you are going to rip this thing apart but look at it and let me know what you like and dislike.

I like trading down...but it gets to be tricky. Cromartie & Lofton both could be first round picks gone before #30.

I would love for the Saints to trade down and pick up an extra third of fourth, but you have to have a willing partner. They need to put out some serious smoke about loving guys like McKelvin, Connor, and Mendenhall. But, right now I see the Saints draft as: 1. CB Talib 2. OLB Crable (Lofton/Sims will be gone) 3. MLB Leman 4. DT Okam 5. S Adams 6. DT Shirley 7. CB Gaines

That's right. All defense. LOL.

Pick DRC and be done with it... I feel like he is worth the 10th pick and should be the first CB taking... he has TALENT wrote all over him..
HE WILL GO IN THE TOP 15 AND BE SPECIAL FOR SOME TEAM

Corey Williams was franchised. That means hes worth 2 first rounders. Yes GB can still negotiate, but simply switching first rounders and having them give us 3rd plus him? Never gonna happen.

You don't think GB would part ways for a 2nd round pick?

Our pick valued at 1300- (their1st rounder 620 and 3rd rounder 132)= 548 pts
548 pts is equivalent to the 3rd pick in the 2nd round (pick # 34 this year)

I don't see why that is impossible, or even reaching.

They want to keep Williams on their young, emerging defense. They want to add, not subtract.

Xavier Carter?

Yea Xavier Carter.

A tall FAST receiver. I know he has had problems with his hands but this kid can fly. Why not take him, if all else fails send him on go routes everyplay to pull a safety that direction.

Isn't he training for the Olympics in track? I know he quit the team to run track in 2006. Do you know something we don't?:dunno:

He is elegible to be drafted. He is also ranked on the scout.com website. I know that he is a long shot but with the 7th rounder he would have tons of upside. All the Saints would need to do is contact him and see if he is interested in playing some ball. I find it hard to beleive that he would not sign a NFL contract.
