PITTSBURGH -- Just one week earlier, after the Pittsburgh Steelers lost for the sixth time in eight games, tailback Willie Parker told the media that after winning the Super Bowl last season the team wasn't as hungry, and a lack of trust was creeping into the locker room.

It isn't known if Parker's words spurred the Steelers to their best overall performance during a 38-31 win against the Saints on Sunday at Heinz Field, but they certainly keyed his efforts.

Parker ran for 213 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, including nonscoring jaunts of 76 and 72 yards in the second half, to become the third Steelers player to surpass the 200-yard mark. Parker's performance is second to John "Frenchy" Fuqua's 218 yards at Philadelphia in 1970 and one spot ahead of John Henry Johnson's 200 at Cleveland in 1964.
