Parse this Parcell's quote.... (1 Viewer)

I guess for us it's Reggie and perhaps Colston; I love Deuce, but there a lots of strong TBs with some speed and moves in the NFL, as opposed to 6-4, 220 guys with great moves, very soft hands and deceptive speed.

Atlanta is probably Vick and Crumpler.

Drew Brees, Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Mike Karney, Devery Henderson, Terrance Copper, Jamal Jones, Jammal Brown, Jamar Nestbit, Jeff Faine, Jahri Evans, Jon Stinchcomb, Bill Miller, John Owens, Mark Cambell, Michael Lewis and John Carney...just to name a couple.

Bush and Brees

That's my thought. Bush and Brees and Crumpler and.....Vick?

but

"but they are at different positions than the Saints'."

wouldn't want to stir that hornet's nest with the Atlanta fans, but I guess you could say Brees and Vick play different positions.

I think he's just saying the other teams he has to play against aren't as good.

His statement doesnt completely make sense because if he's talking about Brees he's not talking about Vick (he said different positions.) Even if he's not the greatest QB he would qualify as unique for sure.

I'd have to guess Bush and Karney. Not many fullbacks can be that effective in the passing game when called upon.

I think that Brees and Vick play QB so differently that you would view Drew as a QB and Vick as a running back that throws the ball poorly 10 or 15 times a game. LOL

>>"The Saints have a couple of unique players that not everybody has and that provide certain problems," Parcells said. "And I don't know that our future opponents [do]. Now Atlanta has a couple of unique guys too, but they are at different positions than the Saints'."

He's referring to the LSSpam's thoughts on the game thread ;).

TPS

Bush absolutely. As for the other, it could be Colston but it probably is Drew Brees as a pocket passer and game manager (which nobody would say described Michael Vick).

Wait, I thought Norwood > Bush....I read that all the time on the Falcon's board so it MUST be true, right? Why would Parcells talk about a guy who's not even unique cause he's playing a better versio the next week??;)
