QB Green has talks with team; TE Troupe slated for visit today

Last year, David Patten was one of the great free-agent steals.
He signed an under-the-radar, one-year contract with the Saints in mid-April, then went on to experience a career resurgence, catching 54 passes for 792 yards and three touchdowns.
The decision to bring him back was a no-brainer for both sides. Patten said he didn't really consider visiting anywhere else before agreeing to a two-year contract with the Saints on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
