Saw this in the background during his interview.

TODAY I WILL DO WHAT OTHERS WON'T, SO TOMORROW I CAN ACCOMPLISH WHAT OTHERS CAN'T

I noticed he said this is the first time he's going to play the DE position.

So a question for the anyone who played, what is it like to switch from LOLB to RDE?

Depends on the scheme. in some 3-4 defenses the weakside OLB is in-essence a DE. The diff is the 3-4 OLB has pass coverage assignments whereas the 4-3 DE doesn't (unless Allen gets cute and drop the DE). Also the 3-4 OLB doesn't (normally) put his hand on the ground, and rushers from the 2-point stance.

Also, the 3-4 OLB may line up a little wider than the DE, but at the end of the day I wouldn't ask my best outside pass rusher to cover anybody. Attack the QB. I cringe every time I see Von Miller in coverage. Yes he's athletic enough to cover but his M.O. is rushing the passer. Same with Kruger.

I noticed that too. Slightly worrisome because he will be starting with only a week of experience at the position but hooefully he's a quick learner.

With Allen I'm sure we will find out quick. I'm sure someone like Kruger who can rush the passer will be rushing the passer.

Smooth!

I was hoping to see someone with wild hair, unkempt beard, and slobbering like a wild dog. Oh well, maybe in the games...

I get the sense Kruger is still ****** @ Cleveland and the way they handled things.
Really glad he is in black and gold now.

I expect even more passion & fire from him come Sunday.
