A full back with zero career touchdowns gets three tonight..

Payton with some of the most genius calls I have ever seen.. Thank goodness we got him.

While I am at it, Drew Brees isn't half bad. What a wonderful guy and a class act, did you see his interview after the game.. WOW!!

Who gets your game balls.

Can you or anyone please recap the Brees interview? Thanks in advance.

In answer to your question, it is tough to award game ball(s), because so many came up huge. Obviously, the coaching was huge, and Karney came up huge in a huge game, so those are good choices.

Oh yeah! Everyone did their best speculations on who should step up and who should be the difference maker. Did anyone pick Karney? I know I didn't. BRIlLIANT coaching.

We even have to hand it to the D for allowing only 17 points. I don't care if Glenn and Jones got over 100 yds. The score is STILL 17 points against.

Too many game balls to go around.

Payton, Karney, Brees on offense.
Will Smith, Fred Thomas (yeah I said it), Mike McKenzie on defense.

Drew Brees :worthy:

The Best. New Orleans Saints. Quarterback. Ever.

Mike Karney - The Karnivore made the most of what he was given

Reggie Bush - Awesome receptions out the backfield.

Deuce - Another quiet 100+ yard day.

Fred Thomas, Mike McKenzie, Jason Craft - So what. Busted up hand that's been killing him (and us) all season misses an INT. Then the Boys score 10 on us (maybe). McKenzie and Craft mostly shut down an overhyped but often achieving Cowboys WR and TE attack.

Will Smith - :worthy:

Coach Payton - Long before the very biased Al Michaels or Coach Madden announced what a fantastic job (Michaels, "best he'd ever seen") Coach Payton was doing, I was sitting on the couch with a 6 pack in me (yeah, midway through the first half :covri:) thinking about how we were writing the gameplan to defeat the Cowboys. And yes, I did say this months ago about another win.

My game ball would go to Faine. It is always difficult to call the blocking schemes against a 3-4 (lack of playing against that front, and the movement that front allows) and I thought the line did very well last night.

I think Jeff Faine should get a probowl nod. He has played flawless center all year. Karney would get a game ball also.
