I think he impressed upon him that the only way Denver would have any chance whatsoever to win would be if our offense turned the ball over, so play ultra conservative.

That still doesn't explain why he mostly didn't make good choices on the rare occasion he threw the ball.

See it like the coach does. We’re up against a team without a QB. We have one of the best defenses in the league. We have Kamara nursing a foot injury. all we need to do is protect the football against a good defense and we will come out on top.
