METAIRIE — It’s too bad for the New Orleans Saints that they don’t have a bye this week because they came out of their 35-22 loss to Baltimore on Sunday with a good two weeks worth of problem-solving on their hands.
But the bye week came last week and the Saints followed it with by far their worst performance of the season. They turned the ball over five times, were penalized 10 times, were forced to abandon an ineffective running game and were caught on their heels by Baltimore’s balanced offense.
