Coach says turnovers will hurt in long run if trend continues

NFL coaches like to point to one league stat that ordinarily separates winners from losers: turnover ratio.
And with two exceptions through eight games this season, the teams on the plus side of the takeaway-giveaway numbers all have winning records and are among the league's elite.
The two teams with minus figures, however, both are leading their respective divisions -- Seattle in the NFC West and the Saints in the NFC South.
The Seahawks (5-3) are minus-2 in takeaways-giveaways; the Saints (6-2) are minus-3.
But Coach Sean Payton realizes his team is walking a tightrope in that regard.
