First, Brees had an interesting story about the family walk. Payton wanted him to call an audible.

Then a high school assistant coach sent out a tweet asking people to fill some time by drawing up some of their favorite plays. Payton obliged.

And then someone asked if Payton would be willing to draw up a Halfback pass.

That "All Go Special X Shallow Cross" is going to be lethal. Five guys going out on a route. Four of them will be MT, Sanders, Cook, and AK. The fifth guy could be a lawn chair and it would still be a handful to defend.

Few teams have 4 weapons as good or better than these guys. Only a few come to mind:

Browns - OBJ, Landry, Chubb/Hunt, Njoku

Chargers - Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Austin Eckeler, Hunter Henry

Yes! And the first route concept demonstrates how important football IQ is for the receiver, who has to identify Cover 2 and act accordingly, as well as being on the same page as the quarterback.

Lol, he can stop now other coaches will steal our ideas.

This can all be seen on film. Every other team knows the Saints run these plays, the problem is knowing when the plays are being called and physically being able to stop them.

An opponent knowing the current name of the play doesn't change a thing.

Yea it's more like teams saying "Dang so that's the name of the play we always get burned on"
