PDF Garbled Text? (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone:

I have an issue where I scan as a PDF and then save it. After I save it I open it up to verify the information but the information becomes nothing but "blocks", "symbols" and "garbled text." When I email these files to customers they say that the text looks fine. I really need to verify all this information myself before I email it.
Has anyone had a similar situation or does anyone have any suggestions to fix?

What program are you using to open the pdf?

I'm use Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Sounds like it's scanned in as Unicode, but your reader is trying to use simple ASCII. Not sure why that would happen.

The funny thing about it is that it only does some of the time. I've tried searching online for any solutions but I have yet to find anyone that has had the same problem but most are a different variation of my problem.

Try scanning it and saving it in jpeg then use Acrobat to convert it to a pdf
