Pelicans re-sign Darius Miller (1 Viewer)

This is a move for a later move IMO. We overpaid to make his expiring contract more valuable in a trade, most likely at the trade deadline. That sounds odd, but the NBA rules are strange. And if that doesn’t materialize, we at least have another good outside shooter and depth player on Gayle’s dime since this doesn’t affect the cap numbers.

Another smart long play by Griffin.

Similiarly, everyone is hating on the Knicks (including me) but they are doing the same thing for the most part which will give them expiring value for trades and also cap space next off season when they could grab some other large FAs.

Agree trades are coming. Like a puzzle. Grif taking one piece at a time.

The polar opposite of Dell Demps. He always just grabbed the best player that he could, regardless of the price, and didn’t worry about fit or long term planning. Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik, Solomon Hill, etc..

Even Cousins honestly.

NBA trade, draft, free agent and cap rules are still a bit of a mystery to me, but it seems clear that the current team leadership understands them better than the last.
