This whole thing is whacky. I thought permission to interview Payton had to have some type of framework in place over compensation. If thats the case and teams are trying to negotiate different parameters after the interviews, I hope Loomis holds Payton hostage. We dont owe Payton a damn thing. He walked out with time left on his contract, no one is feeling sorry for him.
