Per Rotoworld Saints close to bringing back Patten (officially signed)

The Saints are reportedly close to re-signing free agent David Patten.

New Orleans seems content to bring back its entire WR corps from last year and hope Robert Meachem comes along. Patten, 33, shouldn't be expensive.
That would be good to have him back he performed well for the Saints last season.

Good, they need to. I want Patten back. If Meachem shows up at all and Henderson performs like 2006 we will be looking really good.

I never thought he woudlnt be brought back.......he and Colston start with Meachem taking #3 snaps and Henderson at #4 rotating in to provide that deep threat.

According to a friend of mine who goes to the same north shore gym, Patten will get a 2 year deal. Don't know the terms. My friend did not ask.

cool I guess. I still don't think he should be our #2, we still need to upgrade the positon because we don't know what Meachem will be able to contribute, but he is a quality #3 or #4
