When was the last time we had a starting CB play all 16 games? Honest question. I can't remember.

the thing about Harris & Crawley is that while Harris was bad, you see flashes of talent. I see what the coaches see in him.
I haven't seen anything positive out of Crawley, preseason included. Even on the 2 pt. play, he played the WR instead of the ball. He was in perfect position, but he just grabbed Crabtree instead of getting his hands up.
if he's scared, then he needs to be cut immediately. he's been practicing for months against a HoF QB and one of the best WR corps in the NFL.

"When not under pressure, Brees finished with a 142.4 passer rating, versus a 63.9 rating when the Oakland rush did get to him. But that only happened on 16.3 percent of his dropbacks, the lowest rate of any QB this week, through the end of Sunday."
But how about that, huh?
If I'm reading that right, Brees had the lowest rushed rate of any QB this week. This offensive line may just be legit. Don't forget Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin were on the other side!
I don't know how these sites measure things like this, but I find it very hard to believe that we rushed Carr more than the Raiders rushed Brees. Carr had enough time to make himself a shrimp poboy and eat it every time he dropped back. Don't get me wrong, I loved how our OL played, but no way we put more pressure on Carr.
Brandon Browner, last season.

Moore needs to be ready to go this week.
Bring Finnegan back.
It's not a perfect solution, but it is better then going with Crawley again.
You need to rewatch the 2 pt conversion play. He didn't "just grab on". He didn't just play the reciever either. He positioned himself well, put one hand on Crabtree to keep him close, and jumped, swatting at the ball with the other hand. Honestly, he even timed the jump and swat well, but he was a few inches shy of the catch point. Crabtree is a big possession reciever with good hands who happened to highpoint the ball perfectly. It was an impressive play to watch in person, and of no slight to Crawley for being smaller than him. Give Crabtree his due. He's a number 1 WR playing second fiddle.
I'm sure I watched that replay a few times, and that is not what I saw. Crawley was there, but he neither swatted at the ball nor did he hold Crabtree's arms. He basically just held on to Crab's shoulder pads like his life depended on it. He hands just locked on and never released to make a play on the ball. The only hands I saw go for the ball was Crabtree's.
Have you ever played CB yourself against a WR that is not just an inch taller and the ball is thrown like Carr did?
Offense pratice and use those plays for a reason. Specifically on the Endzone.
Grapping the arms of Crabtree was his only chance at this time to avoid the TD.
Unluckily did Crabtree played it perfectly (Catch at the highest point, turned immediatly with the ball away from the Defender...) plus he was good enough to hold the ball with just one arm as Crawley took away the other one.
Yeah ... Crawley had a tough day but this play was very hard to defend.
