One of Pro Football Focus' stats ("Total Pressure") counts the combined sacks, hits and hurries for each defender. The Saints' Cameron Jordan is currently sitting on 34 for the season, two more than defending Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, who has played seven games to Jordan's six.

Saw him tonight at the Horn... I'm mean Pelican game. Everyone in the stands were going nuts. He was waiving and stopped to talk to everyone. You could tell he is loving it here.

The play that solidified my appreciation for Jordan was the 4th and goal last season @Tampa. If you recall, the Bucs were stopped on 3 straight plays, then Freeman faked an inside handoff and tried to run it in on the right side.

Jordan wasn't fooled, and sniffed it out (and pancaked Freeman out of bounds). That play was awesome! Note: The announcer said it was Will Herring, but it was clearly Cam Jordan (#94). Check the play at the 1:35 mark:

Plus he gets to play with an offense that can actually do something with the ball once he gets it back for them.

So happy with Cam. Just 1 stud can make the entire defense better. Not only does the offense always have to account for him, but he also gives our young defenders someone to emulate.
