Jeez, Sev. In what kind of hipster utopia do you live?
I thought Flickr-based images had the EXIF data built in - or is that something the user can disable? I was just curious to see some of the "specs" behind the photos, 'tis all.

It's been a while but my wife and I just got back from a long weekend of day hiking and night eating in one of favorite places. It was sort of a last hoorah before we welcome our first baby in a few months. Since we weren't drinking much on this trip (at least she wasn't hehe) we got up for sunrise on a couple of occasions. It was totally worth it. This was a first attempt at processing but I think the base is there for a good printable shot.

Exceptional shot with all the elements lined up just right. I've spent days there without anything near that.
Processing looks good to me. The only thing I would consider is a bit tighter crop of the left side. If you crop to where the mountains and reflection just fit in the frame then the moose is closer to 1/3 in and more prominent plus the grass at the lower left is less dominant. That's pretty much just personal preference though. The left trees do frame it nicely when uncropped.
You should definitely print and hang that one as a 16x24 or larger.
I'm hoping to get through my backlog of fox kits and grizzlies soon. Had a nice trip to the Khutzeymateen with at least 26 different grizzlies spotted. Whittling down the 7500 or so shots right now.
Thanks a bunch. It's not a bad idea with the cropping. I like to keep the ratio and I'm afraid of pinching the top and bottom too much. I'll play with it though. The grass is a bit funny here as it wasn't my first choice. We thought we were early but there were several people already set up when I got there. On top of it, the tripod I used was a hand me down and turned out to be broken on the bottom part, limiting the extension available. So I was sort of stuck in the grass. But I don't mind it because it was definitely part of it all.
7500 shots. Yikes!
