Anybody have an idea of what it would cost to migrate a site from phpnuke to vbulletin? Any recommendations on who can do this? The site is Southeast Louisiana Aquarium Society.

My site has basic features like a forum, calendar, gallery, and a map; all of which I would like to have at least some version of on the new site.

However, I want additional functionality, like being able to:

- have a mobile app

- Make the bulletin board software allow for picture attachments directly to the SELAS site

- Make the bulletin board software allow for the embedding of videos

- Install a reputation or thanks feature to the bulletin board software

- Install a CAPTCHA (might come with the software)

Thanks

god i hate captcha.. seriously.

other than that, biggest hurdle is re mapping the db code, unless you scrap all the previous posts, and start over.

I think there is a tool. I am just not that confident in my abilities.
well, i'm very rusty with my php, but if you are able to back the database up, the tool should be pretty straight forward. I've upgraded a few phpbb forums to vbulletin and they were fairly easy and painless. I know phpnuke has been around quite awhile so I would like to think that that the migration should be as bug-free as possible by now.

Damn. I didn't know phpnuke was still around. Thought they were hacked out of business. But to answer the question, there is a tool and from the last one I saw, it was quite simple.
