Really interested in seeing what Hogan can bring to table. He’s big, fast, and can block well. Just need to see if he can run routes and catch the ball.

lol. Big and most important if. He looks pretty stiff to me

I'm really starting to think a receiver might have to have some dirt on Sean and Drew to get more than a handful of targets.

Here is Hogan compared to the average physical attributes, agility, speed and explosiveness of the top 10 WRs in receptions every year from 2010 - 2019. He is above average in every category except speed. He also does all of the dirty work and was essentially utilized like Shenault while in college. SP may have found a diamond in the rough again.

To me the most important attributes for a WR are in order of importance below:

1) Quickness (not to be confused with and way more important than straight line speed), to me cone/shuttle, burst times are much more significant than 40 times.
2) Ability to separate and create space from defender (or simply get open). Route running and upper body strength certainly a factor here.
3) Hands, catch ability....without 1 and 2, 3 is moot
4) Straight line speed (40 time)
5) Blocking ability

Actually your #3 should be the #1 because it doesn’t matter how wide open you get if you don’t catch the ball the rest is moot. Great hands can over come some of the separation issue. Like MT, a DB can be draped all over him but he catches the ball at an amazingly high rate even for the NFL.
