First Dinosaur Tail Found Preserved in Amber

The tail of a 99-million-year-old dinosaur, including bones, soft tissue, and even feathers, has been found preserved in amber, according to a report published today in the journal Current Biology.

While individual dinosaur-era feathers have been found in amber, and evidence for feathered dinosaurs is captured in fossil impressions, this is the first time that scientists are able to clearly associate well-preserved feathers with a dinosaur, and in turn gain a better understanding of the evolution and structure of dinosaur feathers.

YES! Do you not? Dinosaurs are clearly better than people. And that 3 year grace period before they eat all of us would be magical.

Get that to Mary Schweitzer at North Carolina quick!! It was her research and doctors thesis that the science in Jurassic Park is loosely based on. She was my anatomy and physiology grad student aide. I have met very, very few people who are more incredibly gifted than her. Amazing lady. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Higby_Schweitzer

She does have bewbs, I have to admit that - which means that her argument already gets a +20 on the "will we listen to it" scale

For a total score of -150 bc Jesus that was stupid

In foucalts pendulum, umberto Eco had this passage wher a character asked for 10 unrelated "facts" from history(even allowing for a nonsensical "fact")
He then wove a compelling, persuasive narrative proving these unrelated ideas were interrelated
I think about that every time I see one of these bizarre conspiracies (btw where's Alan?)
If these were works of fiction they'd be kinda brilliant instead of the thought cancer they turn out to be
