Are other teams overpaying or do we not have the money to compete for free agents? The answer may be a combination of both.Players aren’t jumping ship, they’re getting overpaid by teams who have tons of holes, cap space and are happy to pay the ‘bad team tax’.
We can’t compete on salary when teams like the Falcons are overpaying every average player in sight. Anyway, the D-Line wasn’t good at all last year so getting the chance to remake it in the draft might not be a bad thing. Not one of Davenport, Tuttle and Onyemata were good last year, I’m really not bothered about them leaving.
How does the Carr signing play into that?Compensatory pucks coming.

It´s not normal to lose your entire DT corps in the first day of free agency. It´s the price of playing the cap the way the team does it. If you don´t have enough room, you can´t overspend to keep your players, or at least make a competitive offer to them. Are other teams overpaying or do we not have the money to compete for free agents?
