Joliet, as I recall (Besides, the armpit of St. Louis knows no state lines... *HATE trying to drive downtown (especailly at night)

I agree with you on driving in downtown St. Louis. I have driven through there at all times of day and I must say that rush hour there is as bad as it gets.

I don't think Rockford,..its actually a nice small town.

I never heard of Joliet being an armpit, but maybe the Southside of Chicago, like Calumet City area. Once ipon a time, Joliet was larger than Chicago,.. if you could believe that.
