Playoff time schedule (1 Viewer)

any know the time schedule for the play off games. I really need the NFC conference time to see if my wife will be off of work in time to go!

They don't announce nfc/afc game schedules till the week prior. The last several years, the Wildcard and Divisional round games have been at 3:30pm cst and 7:00pm on Saturday and 12:00 and 3:30 on Sunday, and the Championship games have been at 2:00 and 5:30. Again, you won't know who is playing when until the week before.

Can anyone explain to me what seeds play which seeds? I know seeds 1 and 2 have a bye. So does the 3rd seed play the 6th seed and the 4th and 5th seeds play each other?

lowest seed always plays highest seed

So yes to your scenerio.

Obviously division winners are higher seed than the wildcards regardless of record.

So if the 6th seed happens to beat the 3rd seed, then the 1st seed plays the 6th. Thanks for the helpful answer stevend.

The NFC Championship game will be the late game, you can lock it up.

2008: AFC game was late (Bal @ Pitt)
2007: NFC game was late (NYG @ GB)
2006: AFC game was late (NE @ IND)
2005: NFC game was late (CAR @ SEA)
2004: AFC game was late (IND @ NE)
2003: NFC game was late (CAR @ PHI)
2002: AFC game was late (TEN @ OAK)

Seems like a pretty strong trend to me...

Can you imagine the NFC Championship in the DOME for a late game? After a full day of tailgating, drinking and partying? Going to be crazy. Can't wait.
