United flight attendant displays erratic in-flight behavior - NY Daily News

A United Airlines flight attendant was reportedly suspended after she exhibited erratic behavior on a flight from Denver to Williston, N.D.
Passenger Erika Gorman tweeted about the incident, saying the flight attendant was so out of control that she went to the cockpit to report her behavior to the plane's pilot.
Gorman alleges that the flight attendant was drunk.
"Drunk and disorderly—belligerent flight attendant. Boarding announcements were 'if your seatbelt isn't tight, you ***** up," Gorman said in a tweet to the airline.

Gorman, a passenger on Trans States Flight 4689, took pictures of the disheveled-looking flight attendant and shared them on social media.
The images show the flight attendant confronting another passenger.
Police met the plane when it landed in North Dakota, according to CBS News.
United said in a statement to the Daily News it was "aware of a concerning incident involving a flight attendant. As a gesture of goodwill, we have compensated all customers aboard the flight and we apologize for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused."
"The safety of our customers and crew aboard all United and Trans States flights is a top priority," United said in the statement.

Anyone ever experience this from a flight attendant? Ever get a mad or angry fight attendant on your flight? Explain. I would love to hear your story!

I guess she didn't have a chance to use an oxygen mask before the flight.

Not a United FA...regional carrier Trans States Airlines

I'm guessing United owns that too.

Nope, just a sub contractor. Have their own crews, hiring department, headquarters, etc. In addition to flying as United Express they also operate as American Eagle. TS employees are not in any way selected, trained, or supervised by United.

Interesting . United is acting like it is their problem. You may want to inform the authors of these stories.

The planes are still branded United, and you still buy tickets through United, even if they are owned and operated by another company. AA, Delta, etc., they all have similar arrangements. When you look for a flight, either on the carrier's website or any other travel site, the result would say United (or whatever airline), but when you look up the details, it'll say owned and operated by ______ if the plane is not owned by United, and the plane would have a United paint job/logo.

It’s a problem for all the major carriers (United, DAL, AA). All subcontract small jet flying, yet book flights in one system. But the majors do not operate those regional jets and therefore do not have control over the product the customers are getting. AA has already announced plans to sever ties with some of their subcontracted carriers, Trans States included...before this incident. Hopefully the others will continue the trend and ultimately improve the product.

Expect your ticket prices to take a nice jump if they do. AA was always going to reduce the number of "Eagle" carriers and they're using performance numbers to do it. It's part of what they inherited from the US Airways merger. Regional carriers will always be a part of the business.
