Post your favourite draft prospect. (1 Viewer)

I have Cromartie & Lofton both tied as my fav prospect.....How long has it been since the Saints have had a shutdown corner?! I honestly feel like that's what he is and will become in the NFL.

Lofton just has a motor that never stops and he is always around the big play......

I feel the same way about these two.

Somebody posted a highlight clip of Lofton a couple of weeks ago......this guy was just wrapping RB's up left and right, and layin' the hammer on them, too. We need playmakers on Defense again. It's been too long since our D was actually feared. I miss that. :dunno:

Only a sophomore. Decent size at 6'6 and good speed for a TE running his 40 at 4.6. From what I've seen from him he's got great hands and knows how to get open. Very good route runner. Possesses enough speed to get good YAC. He does a very good job of fending off the defense with his back to come back to the ball. Would make a good redzone threat to compliment Colston near the endzone. He needs to work on his blocking a little bit, but it should come with a little more experience. He has the potential to be the best TE from a stacked TE class this year. I think this kid could be the next big thing at TE in the NFL and I think he would fit in very well in our offense. He projects to rounds 3-4 as of now. If he would have stayed in school another year he would have been the top TE prospect coming out next year.

I live north of Houston and my mother and law is a UT alum so I am subjected to watching some longhorn football games. This guy looks a little raw but would be a solid pick up in the 3rd round or so. I wouldn't mind the saints picking him up if they take care of some D in FA and the first two rounds of the draft.

Sedrick Ellis hands down. Not that we will get him, but I think he is going to make the most impact where ever he goes...

I'll step out on a limb and pick 6'4 295ld DL Marcus Dixon in the 4th.

I know, I am a homer, but I want Dorsey. The guy is arguably the best player in the draft and of course he's from LA. He would be a huge boost to our D and the hometown fans would love it. If we stay at number 10 then right now I say Rivers. This is all subject to change after the combine.

Curtis Lofton. I think he is Sam Mills incarnate!!! Fire plug who will hold down the middle for 12 years.I just hope it is for the Saints.

That Jermichael Finley guy from Texas looks like he could be a great choice in the 3rd or 4th round, if he is as good as the video makes him seem at least.

that middle line backer from south carolina....

he is a beast!

jasper brinkley? too bad he tore his acl in the lsu game and redshirted and is returning to school next year. He doesn't have the most raw talent but he would be a solid prospect that the saints would hopefully look at in the mid rounds had he entered

his brother casper brinkley, DE/OLB is entering though

I'm a big kentwan balmer and trae williams fan

DRC, D.Lowery, and R. Bryant
In FA i would sign a LB maybe Briggs. If we don't sign a CB in FA and K.Rivers is gone i would draft down to dallas IF they would draft both there 1st round picks for our 1st and 4th.
in doing all that i would draft. #22 DRC #28 R.Bryant #40 D.Lowery and #78 E.Royal or DJ Hall..
Our Defence would look like this.
DE Grant
DT Bryant
DT Thomas
DE Smith
LB Fujita
LB Briggs
LB Shanle
CB DRC
CB McKenzie/Lowery
S Harper
S Bullocks
NOW THATS A NICE DEFENCE

curtis lofton
