Suppose no fans in attendance does happen for the upcoming season. That also means no concessions or merchandise revenue. This would significantly decrease revenue, which the salary cap is based on. The TV money would still be there but this is probably about half of total revenue as it stands now.

Just a thought-but how could the nfl handle this scenario without dropping the salary cap to probably half of what it is now?

They all show up to your grocery store with Escalades and food stamps and buy it out of all the lobster

They could decouple the salary cap from the revenue for this season and next season if it's based on previous years revenue. Seems like an easy problem to solve.

Sadly I’ve actually seen this, several times.
So you sit around in the parking lot waiting for someone to drive up in an Escalade ?

Then you stalk them around the store to see if they buy lobster?

Then if you see them buy some lobster, you check with a clerk to make sure there isn't any left?

Then you stalk them to the register so you can see how they pay?

How else could you have seen several times someone drive up in an Escalade, then buy out all the lobster, and then pay for it in food stamps?

Man how in the world did you know????

How many conclusions can you jump to in one post? This isn’t even worth a real response. 😂
Hope you and yours are well.

Tv revenue will go up not sure if can offset the missing revenue of fan attendance for all 32 teams but I expect to see more games broadcasted on TV. Currently we are getting a 12,3 and 8 on Sunday maybe we double that and get that on Saturday while NCAA is in delay. Maybe two Monday night games a week? Idk how to get the largest market but they will get it regardless.

Ok, but if the revenue is down 50% for this upcoming season either the players or the owners are taking a huge hit to the bottom line. The salary cap is based on total revenue and the players get about 54% of this now. Every team would be massively over the projected salary cap which has been rising by about 10 million a year for the last few years.

For example the Brennan Family could not decide who was more important and wound up shutting down instead of figuring out how to split $32 for a couple of eggs.

Roger Goodell sucks.
