Welcome to Season 14 (Pandemic Edition)

The rules are the same. The score is worth the most points while the tie breakers will fill in the rest.

Rules of Game

Here is a short explanation and it is not scientific as I created this a few years ago in about 4 hours time.

There is a total of 100 points possible each week.

50 points for the score. Basically, you lose .5 for each number away from the score. Let's say you predicted the Washington Football Team to have 30 and the Saints 24 and the actual result is Football Team 31 to Saints 24, then your score total would be 49.5. If you miss badly on this either way, it could be a large hole in your score.

25 for predicting the winner. 0 for getting it wrong.

12.5 each for the tie breakers and these work similarly to the score but use smaller increments.

There were a few players that hit the score exactly last year but I don't believe anyone has registered the perfect 100 score.

This is the first bit or normalcy I've seen in the last 6 months! Thank you so much!!!
:melike:
Maybe the last time ever that hearing the mascot Redskins will sound normal.
Hope I can remember to not miss any weeks. Pretty fun competition.

Ha, I've been copying that post for over 10 years so just noticed that I had used the Redskins in the example. Now it's appropriately :poop: corrected to Football Team.

Should have left it Redskins just for nostalgia 😆

Question: Will we have to wear a mask and social distance while entering our predictions, and how long would it be expected to last if so? Asking for a friend? 🤣

I started playing last year and I think I won with either the first or second prediction. I was like, "boom, I'm good!", but then continuously slipped down the rankings. Lol. Maybe I'll have better luck this year.

What is the Saints and opponent's tie breaker mean? Not sure what we need there. Thanks for any explaining in advance.

This week is Total Offense. So, just put how many yards you think the Saints and Bucs will have in Total Offense. It's used in the scoring algorithm and also alternates week to week between Total Offense, Total Passing and Total Rushing.
