Often after a momentous social/cultural event or shift, somehow a brand new distraction appears soon after that ‘helps’ shift the focus
Any guesses what the next big distraction will be?

The government will release long-rumored, but long believed hard, irrefutable evidence(photos, declassified documents, information that top-secret aircraft equipped with alien supplied technology and know-how will be seriously hinted at being revealed soon)

And an extraterrestrial being from a distant planet will fall to Earth in a one-way spaceship that will crash and burn, be rescued or saved by possibly unknowing illegal migrant workers, a former burnt out but highly intelligent scientist and keep him off the grid just long enough to be able to adapt to Earth's climate, language, peculiar customs, habits, norms and prejudices that he will knowingly reveal himself to the entire human race as some sort of Saviour.

Or, the government will find and neutralize him and deny his very existence, much less his supposed, altruistic humanitarian purpose of saving the human race from destroying himself.

A mass shooting or something Russia related.
The MSM will self-righteously, egotistically ramp it up for sensationalist reasons all the while smugly pretending to be above it all, and others will defend their role in all of it, claiming its way more complicated then that while simultaneously somehow not holding them accountable for what they are responsible for in the first place.

And we'll continue to have meandering, circular conversations similar to these on SR or more appropriately, MAP or ______ other Internet message boards/forums.

Good luck with that. We have passed the rubicon im afraid.
There are many numerous, varied and myriad people from different sectors of society who have some or more responsibility for this current predicament or possible fate but for SR policy guidelines regarding political issues being discussed, I can't go any further.

Civil War talk

Russia will violate the airspace of a NATO country one time too many and lose a couple aircraft. Tensions ramp up from there.
