We're trading up and getting Dorsey or Ellis. Watch and see.
I don't think they are ready to give up on JD and I think a lot of people are forgetting about the devlopment of UY.
trading up for dorsey/ellis or getting DRC at 10
payton is bent on getting ellis.
Why not sign our franchise DE to a long term deal instead of drafting another in the first round every 5 or 6 years?
i'd always rather keep a proven veteran in his prime than draft a top 10 in the same position. thats just redundant.
Talib looked terrible, but I agree DRC or Ellis/Dorsey if one should fall (however unlikely that may be).DRC or Talib. Unless the no brainer and Dorsey or Ellis falls. Worry about Smith next year.
It all depends on money and who's coming in. This years draft is heavy at the top with great pass rushing DE's, something we lack. If an effect of signing Briggs is letting Smith walk, with this years crop at DE, then so be it.
It really comes down to what you'd rather.
1. Smith and Rivers/Mayo
2. Briggs and Harvey/Gholston
....pretty close IMO. I would go with #2 because we would get an pass rushing specialist, something we really need.
