I bought this Star Wars Battlefront 'Ultimate Edition' since it was billed as having all the expansion packs. However, I can't seem to access them. Do I need to buy the season pass or whatever it's called to access that content?

Sorry to be such a newb, but well, I am. I just don't want to spend $20 extra if I'm overlooking a stupid thing.

"The Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition has everything fans need to live out their Star Wars battle fantasies, including Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass. Rebels and Imperials alike will be able to expand their galaxy, with 4 epic expansion packs, including Star Wars Rogue One: Scarif. In addition, players can enjoy 30+ maps, 14 heroes and 14 game modes."

It probably came with some codes to redeem in the PS Store, to give you the season pass for free. Then you'd have to click on all of the expansions and download them (should ring up free), if it doesn't do it automatically.

Just a guess, since I didn't get that edition.

Yeah, I would think it would be free, except it shows up as $20. It never showed me a place to enter any kind of code or anything like that. IDK

I tried Gamefaqs but apparently nobody plays this anymore.

I bought the game used, and there was nothing in the box except the disk. So if it came with codes, I don't have it, but again I've never even been presented with a place to enter any code so I don't know.

If you got it used, it likely doesn't have the codes anymore, so you don't have the expansion packs. All that stuff is digital.

How much did you pay for it used? Can you return it?

You can buy it new on Amazon for like $30.

So, unless you got the used game for under $10, it's not worth buying the $19.99 season pass.

BTW, the code would be entered from the PS store.

So, on the PS4 menu, go all the way to the left to get to the store. Enter the store.

The left side has a vertical menu. Go all the way to the bottom where it says something like "redeem codes". It would be on a piece of paper in the box.

I bought it used on Amazon for I think $24. Frustrating.

I think it would be a code like this.

If it's amazon, they'll take it back. Just use their customer service. Buy a new copy if you want all that.

If it was third party, it might be more difficult. But still go through customer service.

I just bit the bullet and bought the season pass for $20. Then I download all the extra content and it tells me now I can't access it without a Playstation Plus membership. LOL. Pretty misleading to not offer the DLC in single player mode and I doubt there's anybody playing a 2 year old game online.

**** all this, it's just throwing away money. Amazon will only return the game for another copy of the same game, which is pointless. EA is highly unlikely to refund me $20 because they're EA. Don't see a point of throwing more money away for a PS Plus membership when I never play online and only play games 2-3 hours a week tops.

Maybe I should dig out the N64 and play that

Oh dude. There is no single player mode on that game. Only online. In order to play online you need PS+...

Btw, the real benefit to ps+ is free games each month.

But yeah, you can't do anything online without it.

Didn't your purchase of a new PS4 come with a 3 month PS+ subscription? Or maybe they only used to do that.

Yeah, I saw the free trial. I may give it a go. I don't see myself ever getting big into the online multiplayer games but it does seem like there are plenty of other perks. And the $25 for 3 months doesn't seem so bad.

I'm pitifully behind the times I guess. I just didn't realize how online-centric this new generation of gaming is. Nor the number of hoops one has to jump through.
