Projected potential 2020 undrafted Free agents (1 Viewer)

The Saints will often pick up one or two UDFA Running Backs, and with Dwayne Washington not being re-signed (as of yet) I have a couple RBs that could go undrafted and might be good fits for the Saints.

Brian Herrien, RB, Georgia - He’s not very big, he’s not very fast, and he didn’t put up great stats, but I watched his whole career at UGA, and even with 1st round talent RBs ahead of him every year, UGA always kept him involved. He runs hard and he looks like a very good STer.

Cade Carney, RB, Wake Forest - Carney is tough football player and could develop into a solid 3rd RB and core STer. He does everything well, but nothing great. Reminds me of Herrien actually, and the Zach Zenner comparisons will be made for obvious reasons.

Dwayne Washington is resigned.

No UDFA WR is coming in the league and filling a void for a team, these guys are developmental prospects much like our current UDFA (Emmanuel Butler, Lil Jordan Humphrey).

RB to me is the position that the Saints need to look at to build depth behind Kamara and Murray.
Deonte Harris did.

And this isn't just an ordinary wr class at wr.

There will be some players available like never before.

Notable big wrs with ball skill who should be available:

Hasise Dubois
Kirk Merritt
Jauan Jennings
Darrell Stewart
Aaron Parker
Kristian Wilkerson
Scotty Washington

Notable slot wrs who should be available:

Darrell Stewart
Malcolm Perry
Mason Kinsey
Maurice Ffrench

All of these guys can compete for a roster spot and significant playing time.

Several pass rushers of note:

Reggie Walker (ringing endorsements from Rex Ryan at the Hula Bowl where he had 4 sacks)

Possibly the next Jr Gallette

Joe Gaziano (3 tech/5tech)

Garrett Marino (had 41 bench reps at his pro day and is a clone of former Saint Brian Young.

Perfect insurance policy for Rankins.

I’d think about Jennings as a big slot, move TE, or FB. Just a great football player who works hard but don’t have too end speed. Could potential make team because if versatility.

I think that Jennings has a better shot at UDFA than Watkins.

When I checked ESPN last night Watkins was ranked as one of the top 50 available remaining.

I think Jennings would have a better chance at making the squad because he plays special teams. I think Quez is the better WR though.

No disagreement there.

Jennings also had a nice slot TD at the senior bowl from Jalen Hurts.

He also led all wrs last year in YAC.

Elite athlete defenders from smaller schools:

2 290lb players who ran 4.6 at pro day

Michael Hoecht DE/DT

Jonah Williams DE/DT

Williams played well at the NFLPA bowl and looks like an ideal 5tech or 3 tech.

Trevon McSwain---Has the coveted 35" arm length and 6'6 height that coaches look for in defenders. Ideal 3tech or 5tech build.

Teair Tart---quickest interior defender at the NFLPA bowl. Also had 2 sacks.

Deonte Holden---best pass rushers at the NFLPA game. Was mostly M.I.A. in college but played killer in the game.

Great build for the DE position and looks to have a ton of untapped potential.

Linebackers:

Shaun Bradley
Christian Rozeboom
Daunte Olson

Might all go undrafted but Bradley was a Beast at the NFLPA game.

A human submarine that torpedoed ball-carriers out of the water.

Also runs a 4.5 and is a true MLB who can also play olb
