It’s been easy to get caught in the moment in each game. Mistakes against the Giants and also today that could have, and did, cost us. I’ve certainly been guilty of it and critical.

But overall, this team has fought through a lot. We all know this. But when you lay it out, it’s pretty crazy.

-Another heartbreaking playoff loss
-retirement of your franchise QB
-Unforeseen cuts due to pandemic dropping the cap
-WR1 and perhaps our second most important offensive player comes back unhealed
-Best DLineman suspended
-QB battle in camp which, while necessary, limited the 1st team reps for whoever took over for Drew
-Displaced by Ida
-injury to WR2B, further depleting an already depleted WR room
-Home game on the road
-lose starting C, who was responsible for OLine calls for your new QB
-lose half your coaching staff to COVID
-lose your all-pro LT, forcing you to rearrange your entire OLine

It certainly hasn’t been pretty. And it felt like the Giants game was an opportunity lost.

But if we’re being realistic, 3-2 is about as good as we could’ve hoped for when you take into account everything above.

Now we see who this team really is, talent-wise. I’m confident we’ve already seen that they’re tough and have high character.
