Here's a way to get a new PS3 slim for $199.00

Basically, you get the Playstation VISA (from Chase) and buy your PS3 with it. They then give you a $100 credit. Then you cancel the card and everyone is happy

FYI.

I went ahead and did this.

If you do so, they will approve you online. If approved, you will get your Credit Card number and CCV number (security number from the back of the card) from a pop up window. Make sure you write those numbers down.

Once you have the account info, you need to create a SonyStyle.com account (if you don't already have one). Then purchase the 80GB or 120GB(slim) PS3 for $299. Sales tax will be charged. Standard shipping is free.

Your card will be charged for the full $299. The Credit card is supposed to give back the $100.

I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I'm planning to pay off the card and cancel it as soon as I get the PS3 in my hands.

BTW, I'm still keeping my 360. The PS3 is primarily for BluRay. Though I will occasionally buy a PS3 game.

I want to be ready when StarTrek comes out

I wanted to give you guys an update:

My PS3 slim came in last week and my PlayStation Visa came in on Friday. Today I logged onto Chase.com and got checked my account activity. Just as advertised, there was a $100 credit along with the purchase of my PS3.

The deal works. I checked and it is still there if you are interested.

I'm going to pay it off next month and cancel the card. I don't need another $10000 credit card.
