AB is the #2 #2 of all time!!11!

2

1. Doug Flutie -- Heisman winner wore No. 22 at Boston College and did some good things wearing the deuce in New England and Chicago. But it was while wearing No. 7 in Buffalo and San Diego that Flutie truly starred in the NFL. But we'll take what we can get with this number.
2. Aaron Brooks -- Great game one week, pathetic the next. That's the story of a rollercoaster career.

2. Bobby Hebert
-- Before Drew Brees came to town, this Saints tough guy fit the franchise like a snug pair of receiver gloves. Not a big stats producer, Hebert led by example and produced a solid career.

5. Drew Brees -- His first season in New Orleans was nothing shy of miraculous … for the team and the city.

3. Archie Manning -- Running for his life is the way most remember his days in New Orleans, but his knack for making plays where none existed deserves notice. Oh yeah, fathering two Super Bowl quarterbacks is a nice encore.

How can Joe Montana be below Bernie Kosar! This must've been written by a Saints fan.

1. Joe Montana -- Four titles, countless historic performances and the best two-minute operator in football history. No matter the jersey number -- this guy is No. 1.

You know what, it didnt even register when I read it! You are right. I forgot that Joe wore 16 in his glory days, not 19. Duh!:covri:

Nobody mentioned a very fine QB who wore #42. Okay, trivia buffs, who was that?

Joe was the best ever in 16. He wore 19 in KC where he wasn't as good as in San Fran. He made the list twice, how bout bernie?

And as for the OP, the guy pretty much called out #2 as the lame duck of the whole article.

I guess if you're a QB entering the league right now and want to quickly take over being the best QB who wore a particular number, then you should choose to wear #6. You wouldn't have much competition. One subpar year and you'll be the best ever. Then again, it could be a curse to wear that number.

Funny how some of those numbers just didn't produce much, and how some did. For instance, the #2 jersey didn't have anyone really worth noting, while #12 had quite a few big time QB's.

alot of Qb's probably idolized QB's ahead of them and choose there number as theirs.

Im just glad Bobby got some props for his leadership.

AB is the biggest #2 in the history of the NFL as far as Im concerned.....:hihi:
