Ok, so I'm confused...RG has said OVER AND OVER that he's ready to move on (even though this is a scam), yet his media continues to poke and prod at this situation. At what point do we get over it? The writer of the article on PFT must be a Failcants fan or something. How are we supposed to get over this scam that was imposed upon our team, when shist like this keeps getting posted?

"Nearly two months after the 2012 regular season ended, the coaching carousel is still spinning.

A little.

Via our brethren at CFT, the Saints have hired a new defensive backs coach, from the college ranks. Wesley McGriff makes the jump from Ole Miss, where he served as cornerbacks coach and co-defensive coordinator for one season.

McGriff joins a defensive staff led by defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, who was hired to install a 3-4 defense — and presumably to reintroduce swagger.

Without, you know, bounties." - PFT

Who cares? I think the whole bounty talk has lost some of its power as of late. After the draft, it will lose more, then after the season (it will lose most of it), and so on and so on. Time to let it go man. The NFL got what they wanted out of it (for the most part) and we got screwed. That's the nature of the beast.

if it has lost it's power why continue to bring it up?

I said "some" power. The more something is used, the more power it loses. How many "bounty" segments do you see on sports networks these days? The answer is: way less than there was during the season.

Why do writers keep bringing it up, you ask?
Answer: Because the talent level in journalism is almost non existent. Anyone could write a sports article these days.

Why did the OP bring it up?
Answer: basically, to complain about it being brought up. He/she is wasting their own time and now ours.

It still has power, because we still continue to be punished----the draft is still in front of us and the second round pick that Goodell said he would consider returning, but then decided not to with no real explanation, is not there.

So, by you worrying about it and living in the past will bring us that pick back-NO, it won't. We have been dealt a punishment. If SP isn't complaining about it, then i wont either. Time to make lemonade and take it out on every team we play.

I think Mike F. meant it as a slap at Goodell... What's the word?, Sarcasm.

What RG meant was that it is best for him and the NFL if we (Payton, the Saints, and fans) move on. We know the score, and we should move on, because it is now just a waste of time and a distraction. You can never win against simple minds. Let it go.

Like I said: it's gonna keep being brought up. Which is why we should have given Goodell a much worse time while he was here. It isn't just "the season is over, leave it at that." This is like spygate where it'll continue to be brought up over the next few years.
