ok. "real id" is kinda a joke. it requires bringing a bunch of crap to omv.

it is easier to just say screw it. get a tsa/or global card, at least for the next year+

i don't miss working for the dept of public safety at all, mostly because omv is just a frustration in a bottle.

terrible time for a license renewal. if it was a normal period, you'd need to just bring in everything proving you are a human born in the good ol' usa. not sure how to offer anything else buddy.

Well, fwiw, the Real ID deadline to sign up was October 2020 iirc, that has been extended by a year to 2021 because of covid. I haven't gotten it yeah, but my daughter just got it with her new DL before DMV closed. I'll have to go in and do that at some point, but DMV is only taking appointments at select locations right now. Might be a while before I can go in to get mine.
