The answer to your 1st question is yes. As to whether this gives him a better chance to get signed, yes... if he found a suitor, and if he passed a physical, and if he accepted their contract terms.

Yes, his chances just went from 0% to 1 % of resigning with Saints.
I wish him the best and thank him for what he did, and the quality guy he is, but I just don't see it happening.
