I am originally from Monroe, LA and I grew up a diehard Saints fan. Being from North Louisiana, I know how many annoying Cowboy fans there are (esp. in Shreveport, that's why I have so much respect for Shreveport Saints fans) I'm dyng to know how the Cowgirl fans in North LA responded to the loss this past weekend. It's so unfortunate that I was not there to sulk in their misery!!!!!

I don’t believe you can find a cowboy fan in the Shreveport-Bossier area today. They epitomize the meaning of “fair-weather fan”.

Shreveport resident here.. LONG LONG time Saints fan. And yes you are correct, there are many many Cowboy fans here as well. I've got two boys in high school, all week long they were hounded by Cowboy fans, telling them how their Saints we're going to lose. man o' man did my kids enjoy going back to school on Monday :D it was freakin' awesome.

I'm originally from Natchitoches. I have really enjoyed calling my few friends from 318 who are Cowboys fans (God forgive them) just to rub it in. They are not too happy right now. 90% of my friends from there are Saints fans and they all despise the Cowboys. I have also enjoyed taking jabs at the Falcons fans a little here in Atlanta. I haven't heard any of them mutter the word conspiracy since last Sunday's game in Dallas. They have mostly resolved to the fact that the Saints are for real this season.

"Are they all converted Saints fans?"

Nope. They will pull their heads out of the sand (or elsewhere) and start crowing again with their next big pre-season victory. Believe me, Saints fans do not want their ilk amongst our ranks. We deserve better.

They are more games against them in the near future. We could possible face them in the playoffs assuming both teams make it & we will play the 1st place finisher from NFC East next year so if they finish 1st this year, then we play them in N.O. next season.

exactly, They all convert to whatever team has the best record at the moment! I have many friends from Shreve and they all grew up loving the cowboys! They still like the saints but I think they just grew up watchin the cowboys.

It is still not a valid excuse

Driving through North Louisiana in my bus on the way to the game Saturday, you would not believe how many cars with Louisiana tags were flipping me the bird or giving the thumbs down...I was shocked. If the love they Cowboys that much and don't have any pride in their home states team...MOVE!!!!!!

My wife grew up in Shreveport. It sickened me the first time I went up there to visit her grandparents, went to one of the local malls, AND FOUND A DALLAS COWBOY STORE!!!!

I'd love to be up there today just to stroll in there with Saints gear on. Sickens me the Texas mindset up there in one of Louisiana's biggest cities.

I have seen pics of your bus and it's GREAT!!!!!!!! I can't believe that they would give you the bird! Being from North LA, as a fan, it is almost embarrasing to admit that is where I'm from. I too can't believe they can't pull for their own in-state team.

Are you sure you're not exaggerating just a little? I'm not calling you a liar but I really find that hard to believe. What part of North Louisiana were you in?

I would be inclined to believe him. I grew up a Saints fan and got the same reaction just for wearing Saints jerseys as a kid. True, the reaction was from other kids but you'd really be surprised how much the Saints can be hated by some people in that area.

That Dallas Cowboy's Store blew me away, as well. We lived in Bossier the first 3 months after Katrina. I had to do "a double take" the first time I passed that store in Bossier's only mall.
